Not Quitting…The Name of Jesus gives us power to endure. :)

Jesus came and paid the ultimate price for us to never be alone. :)

Learning to see with God’s perspective and trusting Him in every season! :)

"It’s all about perspective. Do you choose to see everything that you don’t have figured out in your life…all of the situations that cause pain, frustration…etc…OR…Do you turn your eyes to Jesus…To why you are where you are…To the awesome things God has planned for you today? That choice affects every other response."

Better is one day in His courts than a thousand elsewhere. We have been given the supernatural power and authority to bring the Kingdom of Christ to every kingdom opposed to that. The Holy Spirit is waiting to explode in our lives and touch the lives of others. Let His Kingdom come. :)

I love spending time with my best friend…His name is Jesus, and He has changed my life. He never leaves…Never disappoints…Never hurts…Never fails. He always protects…always loves…and always forgives. There is nothing better than His presence.

Throughout this past year, I have never experienced a friendship like His. It is greater than any relationship could ever be. Yeah…we can’t PHYSICALLY walk around and throw the frisbee. We can’t PHYSICALLY have a “bro night” in my room watching ridiculous movies and laughing. But…even though I can’t see Him…I know He’s there. He’s with me in every moment…everything I do. He’s not only my best friend…but He’s a Father. Although my earthly father has went on to be with the Lord, I can turn to Jesus and just say, “Daddy…I love you.”

There’s no void that He can’t fill. Period. We just have to be willing to give Him everything. Every desire. Every fear. Every hurt. Everything. We have to be willing to lay down every earthly thing in pursuit of Him. Maybe some of the things in your life aren’t working because they are not in divine order? Maybe the Lord won’t give you that best friend…that girlfriend or boyfriend…that title…that career until you learn to let Him fill all of those needs. Just a couple thoughts.

The point is…He’s enough. But will you let Him be for you?

I’m sitting here in the cafeteria, thinking about life and Jesus…waiting to go to work, and I’m reminded of a new song by Kari Jobe called “What Love is This.” In the song, she says, “I confess…you are always enough for me. You made a way for me to know you.” How powerful is this? Man…it is just rocking my world today.

Guys, if the ONLY thing that we ever understood about life and Christianity is that the Lord desires us and because of that desire He made a way for us to know Him and have an intimate relationship with Him, it would be the only thing we ever needed. He provided the atonement that we needed…the avenue that it took for us to be able to sit at His feet…to cry out in the middle of the night…to rise in the morning with praise on our lips. None of that would be possible without his sacrifice and everything He did for us. Man…what a privilege to be able to sit at the feet of Jesus and be able to commune, interact, intimately know and worship the King of Kings. The God who created the Heavens…WANTS to talk with us…WANTS to teach us…WANTS to pour love all over us.

But…what do we do? Get up and immediately start thinking about homework, relationships, getting a wife or husband, developing friendships, protecting ourselves…and so many other things. We get up and start making decisions to bring us comfort, popularity, and status. We pretend that it is okay to have a less than mediocre relationship with Jesus and focus on developing a relationship with the girl or guy that we are interested in. I don’t have time to unpack everything sitting here…but…guys, the Lord just hit me with the weight of this this morning. Not that any of those things mentioned above are bad…but they are SECONDARY to knowing the Lord. They are not even close in importance to having a friendship, a deep, intimate relationship with Jesus. How must it feel for us to see His incredible sacrifice and say, “I actually want (fill in the blank) more.”

Can you really say, “Jesus, you are always enough for me…?” Can you say that when you are sitting alone in your room on a Friday night with no perspective date, no friend knocking at your door, and no plans for the rest of the weekend? Can you learn to sit and be quiet before the Lord in the seasons of brokenness, preparation, and consecration? When you think, “I can’t deal with all of these emotions anymore…I don’t understand…” can you still sit and trust His word?

Just wanted to share some thoughts this morning. Guys, what I’m learning right now…and kind of the season the Lord is taking me through…is that He is absolutely EVERYTHING. Anytime we place weight and start to lean on people, titles, circumstances, or any other idols in our lives…we are never going to be fulfilled. Not only that…but we are always going to be frustrated in our relationship with the Lord because we are out of God’s perfect order. It’s not going to work. Ever. So…walls will tumble down repeatedly, until you learn that your foundation…the essence of your being…has to be rooted and FOUND in Christ. Not just for a moment during worship…or a week…But as your identify. Without it, we are just building houses on sand.

Begin to trust the Lord this week…Allow yourself to feel and confront feelings that are uncomfortable. With the Holy Spirit, take a deep look inside of your heart and be willing to acknowledge areas in your life that are out of order. If you are honest and submitted…He’ll show you. Don’t neglect the power of this process. It doesn’t feel good…But how would it feel to say, “Jesus, you are always enough for me…” and really mean it. :) Trust Him. Let His constant love come and wash your heart…come and reorder your reality…and come and place your life in divine order. He’ll do it guys…He’s doing it.

Love you guys…:)
